Although the Simplisse Double Electric Breastfeeding Companion is a double pump, its not like any pump you’ve used before.

The whole cow milking technology, as some consumers have put it, is replaced with an innovative suckling technology (Compression Technology), with the breast shields contributing as never before.
The shields are a two part assembly and are referred to as Baby’s Face Cups.

The Outer Cup moves with the mothers breast, the inner cup mimics a suckling child’s tongue. The shield is soft and pliable and without a doubt the most comfortable in the industry.

Pros and Cons of the Simplisse Double Electric Breastfeeding Companion
Pros
New Compression Technology, a new approach which mimics a baby’s suckling.
Comfortable Expression session with comfortable BabyFace Cups. Doesn’t get more comfortable than this.

Cons
While we love the new technology, Simplisse still needs to work on the engineering. Too many consumers complain of hose trouble, so its either poor design or leaves too much room for error, perhaps a snap in coupling would be easier.
Need to simplify the hookups.
Too noisy, takes away from the comfort session when your irritated by the noise.
But for Simplisse this is the first horse out of the shoot, so we look forward to next generation pumps.
Final Thoughts on the Simplisse Double Electric Breastfeeding Companion
While we agree that there may be a problem with following directions on a good setup of the pump for each session, if its so prevelant it needs to be fixed or a new system developed to make it easy and less stressful.
But when hooked up right, mainly the hoses and connection to the cup, then it works like a charm and most seem satisfied with it.
So we recommend this pump and its great new compression technology If:
- you can hook it up by the book, good with stuff like that
- you need pain relief from the tug and pull pumps
- you are willing to take a chance on new technology, designed by women for women.
